Company and commercial
Typically advising mid sized companies and wealthy individuals, the lawyers from within our Company and Commercial Department generally work on a mixture of corporate and commercial transactions. This approach enables us to focus on what really matters to our clients and give commercial advice and an efficient service that you can rely on.
By regularly working on corporate transactions our lawyers develop an in depth knowledge of the intricacies of corporate finance, returning shareholder funds, corporate governance and warranty protections as well as a more general experience of working to exacting timetables and negotiating often complex documents.
By advising on commercial agreements our lawyers gain a detailed technical knowledge of the law relating to employment, sale of goods, agency, insolvency and the like.
We can and often do act on very large corporate transactions but with a team of well trained, professional and enthusiastic ‘all rounders’ we are particularly well structured to advise on SME mergers and acquisitions on an economically viable basis. We do this by using a small team of lawyers who can understand the deal as a whole and provide advice across the board, rather than a huge roster of narrow and expensive ‘specialists’ better suited to the economics of the billion dollar deal.
We also offer company law ‘housekeeping’ and registered office services and fulfill the role of general legal counsel for many of our clients.
