During the last 20 years, partner Julian Skeens has carefully forged a team of top lawyers who are today acknowledged by the legal profession for their deserved place among the Top Six licensing practices in the UK.
It is our role to ensure that our clients have the very best advice and therefore the optimum competitive advantage in whatever sector of the licensing or leisure industry they are operating in.
The team deals with licensing applications covering the length and breadth of the country. Julian has made applications in Aberdeen, Dumfries, Land's End and Gravesend. He has been called in as a consultant in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland where, finding that it was unlawful to grant a licence to a client, and in order to obtain a licence for them, he set about changing the law!
Whilst the team practices exclusively in licensing law, strategic teams are created as and when required by drawing on the expertise of colleagues from other disciplines - such as Commercial Property and Litigation - where they have developed an expertise in representing the leisure industry, protecting the property and commercial interests of our clients so that they can exploit their full potential.
