Chris Turner joined the legal profession straight from school and has worked in the areas of Civil Litigation continuously until the present time. He started with JGR in April 1987 bringing with him a wide experience in the areas of Matrimonial Finance and Family law as well as Personal Injury and Commercial Disputes.
He conducts high profile and high net worth cases in the Family Division and in the Commercial Courts. Has appeared in all divisions of the High Court, Court of Appeal and House of Lords and has had a number of cases reported in various law reports since joining JGR.
He has experience in contentious Arbitrations in other jurisdictions, notably Spain and has undertaken a wide variety of commercial disputes including building related Arbitrations and ADR proceedings.
He brings a relaxed, friendly but tough approach to acting for his clients.
Outside work he is a keen boater. An RYA Offshore Yachtmaster he is Chairman of a sub-committee of the RYA and a member of the RYA’s Cruising and Government Affairs Committee. Currently he is Chairman of the Association of Thames Yacht Clubs.
