John O’Connell is head of Jeffrey Green Russell’s Company and Commercial Group. The core of John’s practice lies in corporate and commercial transactions and advising on company law. Clients range from a national car rental franchise to Formula One rights holders and from major leisure players to start-ups. John has particular expertise in the sports business sphere. He acts on the acquisition and exploitation of big-ticket, sports-related commercial rights. John is a member of the sports working group of the industry body, Business in Sport and Leisure, John is on the editorial board of Sweet and Maxwell’s Practical Commercial Precedents and personally contributed to the sections on Sponsorship and Merchandising.
