Nick Nocton is a Partner in the Company and Commercial Department.  He has a broad commercial practice with a particular specialism in Gaming and Betting, for which he enjoys an international reputation.

Nick has extensive experience of advising the gambling sector, including terrestrial and online betting and gaming operators and suppliers.  Clients include UK and international casino operators, sports books, poker, skill gaming, pools, bingo, lottery and prize competition operators, as well as machine manufacturers and other suppliers to the industry, including banking and financial services companies.

Nick provides focused licensing and regulatory advice (including for licence applications in the UK and elsewhere), together with assistance with related commercial and strategic issues and, in particular, new opportunities within the UK market.  He has advised in relation to several high-profile acquisitions and investments in international gaming companies.

Nick is a regular speaker at national and international conferences and a contributor to many leading publications.  He is a member of the International Masters of Gaming Law (“IMGL”), and Editor of the highly-regarded journal “European Gaming Lawyer”.

In addition, Nick advises a varied list of clients from outside the gambling sector on general commercial issues, in particular, commercial contracts, IP and IT, data protection, privacy, e­commerce and employment issues.
