Rebecca Dimaridis

Rebecca Dimaridis was admitted onto the roll of solicitors of England and Wales in August 2011, having been previously qualified in New South Wales, Australia, in 2001. She worked in private practice until moving to London in 2007, where she moved into an in-house position at Kurt Geiger and then the BBC. Amongst those Rebecca has assisted is Australian fashion designer Katie Perry, who found herself head-to-head with singer Katy Perry.
Rebecca's responsibilities include trade mark and design advice, filing, prosecution, opposition and portfolio management; domain names; copyright; licensing and intellectual property audits/due diligence; and other commercial IP related issues.
Rebecca's confidence, enthusiasm and range of experience gives her a unique edge. With a certain knack for hunting down evidence, Rebecca's achievements include proving a leading national sports organisations' important trade mark acquired distinctiveness and was capable of registration.

Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice (JIPLP) Peer Review Panel and the JIPLP Book Review Panel. Rebecca's first JIPLP Book review, entitled "Feist: the feisty copyright debate" was published in August 2010.
