Jeffrey Green Russell acted for an offshore property development company in its purchase of a number of properties in Chelsea, Notting Hill and South Kensington which required an innovative approach as the transaction was split into two phases. Advising an offshore investment company on sub-sale transaction

Jeffrey Green Russell acted for an offshore trust in connection with the purchase of an investment property by way of a sub-sale transaction in a brand new development in West London. Only days before completion the lender revised the advance on the basis of its valuation and we discovered that the sub-seller was selling the property at a much higher price than the actual value. The vendor rescinded the contract with the intermediate seller meaning that they could no longer sell the property to our client and they retained the deposit paid. Jeffrey Green Russell negotiated directly with the vendor and saved the day for the client by arranging for the property to be sold to them directly from the vendor at a reduced price.
