The Bar Show 2007 - June 2007

Leading licensing lawyers, Jeffrey Green Russell worked in partnership with Bar 07 for this years Bar Talks. Bar Talks put senior figures from the contemporary UK bar scene face to face with representatives from government, local authorities, police and leading trade bodies.

Organised in conjunction with Theme magazine, Bar Talks was introduced by Nigel Barden and hosted by Julian Skeens.

Grosvenor House Hotel - September 2005

Jeffrey Green Russell obtained the first and only 24 hour premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 in Westminster.

The Social - April 2007

Following an appeal hearing for The Social, Jeffrey Green Russell obtained a significant costs order against Westminster City Council with the DJ approving a higher hourly rate in view of their knowledge and expertise in this area of law.  Westminster's counter claim was dismissed.

Mo*vida Judgement - February 2007

Jeffrey Green Russell won the first and only appeal to be granted contrary to the Westminster Stress Area Policy.  The premises were granted a 7am licence.

In giving judgement, District Judge Roscoe said "[Westminster City Council] served (and served very late) copious paperwork, a lot of which was contentious and where the summaries provided were often so misleading that they could not be relied upon without having been checked. I have to say that the extra work this required from the Appellant's employees and solicitiors was substantial and carried out in an extrememly short timescale and with comparitive good grace."
