Jeffrey Green Russell obtained the first and only 24 hour premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 in Westminster.The Social - April 2007
Following an appeal hearing for The Social, Jeffrey Green Russell obtained a significant costs order against Westminster City Council with the DJ approving a higher hourly rate in view of their knowledge and expertise in this area of law. Westminster's counter claim was dismissed.Mo*vida Judgement - February 2007
Jeffrey Green Russell won the first and only appeal to be granted contrary to the Westminster Stress Area Policy. The premises were granted a 7am licence.
In giving judgement, District Judge Roscoe said "[Westminster City Council] served (and served very late) copious paperwork, a lot of which was contentious and where the summaries provided were often so misleading that they could not be relied upon without having been checked. I have to say that the extra work this required from the Appellant's employees and solicitiors was substantial and carried out in an extrememly short timescale and with comparitive good grace."
